Second seed Belinda Bencic, of Switzerland, advanced to the second round of the Liebma Open by defeating American Madison Brengle 6-4, 6-3 at the Autotron Rosmalen on Tuesday.
Bencic, ranked No 17, will play Anna Kalinskaya next. The Russian scored a 7-6,6-3 win over wild card entrant Suzan Lamens.
