French wildcard Lois Boisson won against Argentinian qualifier Solana Sierra 6-1, 6-0 to reach the last 8 of the L’Open 35 de Saint Malo on Thursday.
Boisson, ranked No 191, will face American Katie Volynets, the No 7 seed, next.
In the previous round, the 20-year-old Frenchman beat No 4 seed Varvara Gracheva (6-4, 7-5).
Sierra, ranked No 175, won against qualifier Eden Silva (6-4, 6-2) during the 32.
