McCartney Kessler won against Yara Bartashevich 6-4, 6-1 on Tuesday afternoon and will face the winner of the match between qualifier Tessah Andrianjafitrimo and wildcard Tiantsoa Rakotomanga Rajaonah in the next round

American McCartney Kessler, the top seed, reached the last 16 of the L’Open 35 de Saint Malo by winning against French qualifier Yara Bartashevich 6-4, 6-1 on Tuesday.
Kessler, ranked No 43, will play the winner of the match between qualifier Tessah Andrianjafitrimo and wildcard Tiantsoa Rakotomanga Rajaonah next.
