Madrid Open: Qualifier Bejlek upsets Krueger to book spot in last 16

Qualifier Sara Bejlek defeated American Ashlyn Krueger 6-3, 6-1 to advance to the last 16 of the Madrid Open at the Caja Magica.
Bejlek, ranked No 136, will face the winner of the match between Egyptian Mayar Sherif and Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the No 4 seed, next.
Sara Bejlek won against Russian Anna Blinkova (4-6, 6-3, 6-3) and Russian Anna Kalinskaya, the No 24 seed (6-1, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Krueger, ranked No 70, won against Japanese Nao Hibino (6-4, 6-4) and Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, the No 14 seed (6-3, 6-3).
