The young Canadian will next face the winner of the contest between No. 22 seed Anna Kalinskaya and Anastasia Zakharova, as she continues her promising run at the tournament.
Blinkova, ranked No. 92, had entered the match with momentum after defeating American Sofia Kenin in three sets (3-6, 6-1, 6-3) in the previous round. She found no answers against a ruthless Mboko, who was commanding from the first point to the last.
