Miami Open: Kalinina saves MP to defeat Wozniacki in marathon match
Anhelina Kalinina edged out Caroline Wozniacki 5-7, 7-5, 6-4 on Thursday. She’ll play the winner of the match between Spaniard Paula Badosa and Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the second seed, in the next round

Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina, the No 32 seed, edged out Dane wildcard Caroline Wozniacki 5-7, 7-5, 6-4 to move into the third round of the Miami Open at the Hard Rock Stadium on Thursday.
At one stage, Kalinina was behind 7-5, 5-2 before she tore back into the match, saving a match point en route to victory over the former world No 1. This was the longest contest of the tournament so far, taking three hours, 17 minutes to complete.
Kalinina, ranked No 36, will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Paula Badosa and Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the second seed, next.
In the previous round of the Miami tournament, Wozniacki, ranked No 129, beat Frenchwoman Clara Burel (6-1, 6-4).
