Miami Open: Pegula sets quarter-final against Raducanu

Jessica Pegula won against Marta Kostyuk 6-2, 6-3 on Monday and will play Emma Raducanu in the next round

American Jessica Pegula, the No 4 seed, defeated Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk, the No 23 seed, 6-2, 6-3 to advance to the last 8 of the Miami Open at the Hard Rock Stadium on Monday.

Pegula, ranked No 4, will play Emma Raducanu next.

The American won against qualifier Bernarda Pera (6-4, 6-4) and edged out Russian Anna Kalinskaya, the No 32 seed (6-7 (3), 6-2, 7-6 (2)) ahead of her victory.

In the previous rounds of the Miami tournament, Kostyuk, ranked No 29, won against Australian qualifier Kimberly Birrell (7-5, 4-6, 6-3) and Russian Anna Blinkova (6-2, 6-1).
