Ysaline Bonaventure defeated Despina Papamichail 7-6 (5), 4-6, 6-1 on Monday evening and will play the winner of the match between Czech Katerina Siniakova, the No 6 seed, and Russian qualifier Kamilla Rakhimova in the next round
Belgian Ysaline Bonaventure reached the second round of the Monterrey Open by winning against Greek qualifier Despina Papamichail 7-6 (5), 4-6, 6-1 at the Estadio GNP Seguros on Monday evening.
Bonaventure, ranked No 96, will play the winner of the match between Czech Katerina Siniakova, the No 6 seed, and Russian qualifier Kamilla Rakhimova next.
