Liechtensteiner lucky loser Kathinka von Deichmann edged out Swiss wildcard Valentina Ryser 2-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4 to reach the last 16 of the Montreux Nestlé Open on Tuesday.
Von Deichmann, ranked No 216, will play Swiss Jil Teichmann next.
