Austrian Julia Grabher beat Cagla Buyukakcay 6-1, 7-6 (4) to move into the quarter-finals of the Morocco Open at Union Sportive des Cheminots du Maroc in Rabat on Wednesday.
Grabher, ranked No 74, will play Italian Martina Trevisan, the top seed, in the next round.
The Austrian won against Belgian Ysaline Bonaventure (6-7 (3), 6-4, 6-2) in the previous round of the Rabat Grand Prix.
In the previous round of the Rabat Grand Prix, Buyukakcay, ranked No 263, defeated Czech Linda Fruhvirtova, the No 7 seed (7-5, 6-4).
