Pole Maja Chwalinska, the No 7 seed, defeated Frenchwoman Leolia Jeanjean, the No 8 seed, 6-0, 6-3 to reach the final of the MundoTenis Open on Sunday evening.
Chwalinska, ranked No 158, will play the winner of the match between Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle, the top seed, and Swiss qualifier Ylena In-Albon next.
The Pole won against Spaniard Angela Fita Boluda (7-6 (3), 6-2), Ukrainian Oleksandra Oliynykova (7-6 (1), 6-1) and Egyptian Mayar Sherif, the second seed (6-3, 4-6, 6-1) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds, Jeanjean, ranked No 162, beat Russian Daria Lodikova (6-1, 7-6 (5)), Serb Nina Stojanovic (6-1, 6-1) and Ukrainian Valeriya Strakhova (6-2, 6-1).
