Coco Gauff kicked off her National Bank Open campaign with a 6-1, 6-3 rout of qualifier Madison Brengle as first-round action wrapped up on Tuesday. Gauff advanced at the Aviva Centre in Toronto after one hour and three minutes.
The 18-year-old American will face Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina in the round of 32.
