Ningbo Open: Andreeva reaches final after Muchova retirement

Russian Mirra Andreeva moved into the final of the Ningbo Open when Karolina Muchova retired at the Yinzhou Tennis Center on Saturday.
Andreeva, ranked No 19, led 6-2, 1-0 when Muchova, ranked No 29, pulled out on Saturday afternoon at the Yinzhou Tennis Center.
The 17-year-old Russian will face Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No 5 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, Mirra Andreeva won against American qualifier Varvara Lepchenko (6-2, 6-0), German lucky loser Tamara Korpatsch (6-0, 6-4) and No 4 seed Barbora Krejcikova (7-6 (5), 3-2 ret.).
Karolina Muchova defeated Australian qualifier Olivia Gadecki (6-3, 7-5), Romanian lucky loser Jaqueline Cristian (6-2, 6-1) and Russian Anna Kalinskaya, the No 7 seed (2-6, 6-2, 6-3) in the previous rounds of the Ningbo tournament.
