Ningbo Open: Bencic reaches last eight after a hard fight vs. Starodubtseva
Belinda Bencic edged out Yuliia Starodubtseva 5-7, 6-4, 7-5 on Wednesday night and will play the winner of the match between Russian Veronika Kudermetova and Italian Jasmine Paolini, the second seed, in the next round

Swiss Belinda Bencic, the No 6 seed, edged out Ukrainian qualifier Yuliia Starodubtseva 5-7, 6-4, 7-5 to reach the quarter-finals of the Ningbo Open at the Yinzhou Tennis Center on Wednesday.
From 5-2 in the decider against a physically struggling Starodubtseva, Bencic fought hard to win a 3 hour and 32 minutes.
Bencic, ranked No 14, will play the winner of the match between Russian Veronika Kudermetova and Italian Jasmine Paolini, the second seed, next.
