Italian Lucia Bronzetti, the No 8 seed, reached the last 16 of the Ningbo Open by beating Swiss qualifier Jil Teichmann 7-6 (6), 6-4 on Monday night.
Bronzetti, ranked No 65, will play the winner of the match between Chinese wildcard Yue Yuan and Ukrainian Kateryna Baindl next.
