Russian qualifier Valeria Savinykh beat Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva, the No 5 seed, 7-5, 7-5 to move into the last 16 of the Ningbo Open on Tuesday night.
Savinykh, ranked No 164, will face the winner of the match between Argentinian Nadia Podoroska and Chinese wildcard Xiyu Wang next.
