Diana Shnaider reached the last eight of the Ningbo Open by defeating Kamilla Rakhimova 6-3, 6-2 on Wednesday.
Shnaider, ranked No 85, will face second seed Petra Kvitova next.
Diana Shnaider won against Chinese qualifier Zhuoxuan Bai (6-4, 1-6, 6-2) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round, Rakhimova, ranked No 77, beat Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the No 6 seed (3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3).
