Dutchwoman Suzan Lamens beat Belarusian Aliona Falei 6-4, 6-1 to move into the semi-finals of the Oeiras Ladies Open on Friday.
Lamens, ranked No 163, will face the winner of the match between American lucky loser Varvara Lepchenko and French wildcard Kristina Mladenovic next.
The Dutchwoman won against Colombian Emiliana Arango (7-5, 6-2) and Russian lucky loser Julia Avdeeva (7-5, 6-0) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds, Falei, ranked No 202, won against Australian Taylah Preston (6-4, 6-2) and Chinese Zhuoxuan Bai, the No 6 seed (6-4, 6-4).
