Dane Clara Tauson, the No 4 seed, won against Frenchwoman Carole Monnet 6-3, 6-1 to move into the last 16 of the Oeiras Ladies Open on Tuesday.
Tauson, ranked No 87, will play the winner of the match between American qualifier Maria Mateas and Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz next.
