Latvian wildcard Anastasija Sevastova reached the last eight of the Open BLS de Limoges by winning against Swede Rebecca Peterson, the No 8 seed, 6-2, 6-3 on Wednesday evening.
Anastasija Sevastova will play the winner of the match between Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the No 3 seed, and Frenchwoman Elsa Jacquemot next.
Ahead of her victory, the 33-year-old Latvian defeated Romanian Patricia Maria Tig (6-4, 6-1).
Peterson, ranked No 130, won against German Mona Barthel (7-6 (3), 7-5) in the previous round.
