Open BLS de Limoges: Jacquemot outlasts Sevastova for semi-final spot

Frenchwoman Elsa Jacquemot edged out Latvian wildcard Anastasija Sevastova 7-6 (4), 2-6, 7-5 to move into the semi-finals of the Open BLS de Limoges on Friday evening.
Jacquemot, ranked No 235, will face the winner of the match between Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto, the top seed, and Russian Erika Andreeva, the No 7 seed, next. In the previous rounds, the 20-year-old Frenchman won against Berfu Cengiz (7-5, 6-1) and Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the No 3 seed (6-4, 6-4).
Anastasija Sevastova beat Romanian Patricia Maria Tig (6-4, 6-1) and Swede Rebecca Peterson, the No 8 seed (6-2, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
