Frenchwoman Elsa Jacquemot won against Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the No 3 seed, 6-4, 6-4 to move into the last eight of the Open BLS de Limoges on Wednesday evening.
Jacquemot, ranked No 235, will face Latvian wildcard Anastasija Sevastova next.
The 20-year-old Frenchman defeated Berfu Cengiz (7-5, 6-1) in the previous round.
In the 32, Rus, ranked No 52, beat Gabriela Knutson (6-3, 6-2).
