Osaka through to Saint Malo final

Japanese Naomi Osaka, the second seed, reached the final of the L’Open 35 de Saint Malo by defeating Frenchwoman Leolia Jeanjean 6-2, 4-6, 6-0 on Saturday.
In a match that lasted two hours and seven minutes Osaka served seven aces and won 82.5 per cent of points on her first serve.
Osaka, ranked No 55, will face the winner of the match between Swiss Viktorija Golubic, the No 7 seed, and Slovenian Kaja Juvan next.
The Japanese won against Croat Petra Marcinko (6-2, 6-1), Frenchwoman Diane Parry (2-6, 6-3, 6-4) and Frenchwoman Elsa Jacquemot (6-3, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds, Jeanjean, ranked No 107, won against wildcard Lois Boisson (6-3, 4-6, 6-4), American Caroline Dolehide, the No 4 seed (6-3, 1-6, 6-1) and Fiona Ferro (7-5, 6-3).
