Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova, the No 4 seed, won against Hungarian Dalma Galfi 6-3, 7-6 (5) to move into the last 16 of the Parma Ladies Open presented by Iren on Monday afternoon.
Schmiedlova, ranked No 67, will face the winner of the match between Italian wildcard Giorgia Pedone and American Alycia Parks next.
