Parma Open: Sakkari makes second round, losing a set
Maria Sakkari defeated Kateryna Baindl 6-7 (2), 6-2, 6-3 on Monday and will face the winner of the match between Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus and Hungarian Panna Udvardy in the next round
Greek Maria Sakkari, the top seed, advanced to the second round of the Parma Open by winning against Ukrainian qualifier Kateryna Baindl 6-7 (2), 6-2, 6-3 at the Tennis Club Parma on Monday afternoon.
Sakkari, ranked No 7, will play the winner of the match between Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus and Hungarian Panna Udvardy next.
