Poland Open: Stefanini beats Burrage and makes the last eight

Italian Lucrezia Stefanini advanced to the last eight of the Poland Open by winning against Jodie Burrage (6-4, 6-1), one of the surprises of the grass season, at the Legia Tennis Centre in Warsaw on Thursday.
Stefanini, ranked No 108, will play the winner of the match between German Laura Siegemund and Chinese Lin Zhu, the No 4 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the Italian defeated No 7 seed Linda Fruhvirtova (6-1, 7-6 (4)).
Burrage, ranked No 95, edged out Indian qualifier Ankita Raina (4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (4)) in the previous round.
