Jabeur maintains momentum, reaches semi-finals in Stuttgart

Tunisian Ons Jabeur, the No 3 seed, reached the semi-finals of the Porsche Grand Prix by defeating Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia (6-3, 6-0) at the Porsche-Arena in Stuttgart on Friday evening.
The winner in Charleston, Jabeur is starting to build a very good form after a rough start of the year due to a knee injury.
Jabeur, ranked No 4, will face the winner of the match between Pole Iga Swiatek, the top seed, and Czech Karolina Pliskova next.
Ahead of her victory, the Tunisian won against Latvian Jelena Ostapenko (1-6, 7-5, 6-3).
Haddad Maia, ranked No 14, benefited from the abandonment of Italian Martina Trevisan (7-5, 1-1) and Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the No 6 seed (6-1, 3-1 ret.) in the previous rounds of the Stuttgart Open.
