Pole Iga Swiatek, the top seed, moved into the final of the Porsche Grand Prix when Tunisian Ons Jabeur, the No 3 seed, retired at the Porsche-Arena in Stuttgart on Saturday.
Swiatek, ranked No 1, led 3-0 when Jabeur, ranked No 4, pulled out at the Porsche-Arena in Stuttgart on Saturday afternoon.
The 21-year-old Pole will face Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the second seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, Iga Swiatek defeated Chinese Qinwen Zheng (6-1, 6-4) and Czech Karolina Pliskova (4-6, 6-1, 6-2).
The Tunisian won against Latvian Jelena Ostapenko (1-6, 7-5, 6-3) and Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia (6-3, 6-0) in the previous rounds of the Stuttgart Open.
