Prague Open: Potapova books spot in quarter-finals
Anastasia Potapova defeated Lin Zhu 6-4, 7-6 (8) on Thursday and will face the winner of the match between Estonian Anett Kontaveit, the top seed, and Czech wildcard Lucie Havlickova in the next round
Russian Anastasia Potapova, the No 7 seed, reached the last 8 of the Prague Open by beating Chinese Lin Zhu 6-4, 7-6 (8) at TK Sparta Praha on Thursday.
Potapova, ranked No 59, will face the winner of the match between Estonian Anett Kontaveit, the top seed, and Czech wildcard Lucie Havlickova next.
The 21-year-old Russian won against Chinese Xinyu Wang (6-1, 6-2) in the previous round.
In the previous round, Zhu, ranked No 100, won against Russian Vitalia Diatchenko (6-1, 6-1).
