Puerto Vallarta Open: Cristian advances to meet Fruhvitova in final
Jaqueline Cristian went the distance to defeat Rebeka Masarova on Saturday in Puerto Vallarta. Cristian will meet Linda Fruhvirtova in the final.

Romanian Jaqueline Cristian, the top seed, edged out Swiss Rebeka Masarova 2-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5) to advance to the final of the Puerto Vallarta Open on Saturday night.
Cristian, ranked No 72, will play wildcard Linda Fruhvirtova on Sunday.
The Romanian previously defeated Harriet Dart (6-3, 6-2), Japanese Ena Shibahara (3-6, 6-4, 6-3) and German Tatjana Maria, the No 5 seed (6-1, 6-1).
Masarova, ranked No 168, reached the semi-finals by beating American Varvara Lepchenko (6-3, 6-4), American Bernarda Pera, the No 4 seed (5-7, 6-3, 6-4) and Australian wildcard Maddison Inglis (6-1, 2-6, 6-2).
