Qatar Open: Jabeur sees off Kenin to reach last eight

Tunisian Ons Jabeur advanced to the quarter-finals of the Qatar Open by defeating American wildcard Sofia Kenin 6-3, 6-4 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha on Wednesday evening.
Jabeur, ranked No 35, will play Latvian Jelena Ostapenko next.
Ahead of her victory, the Tunisian won against American McCartney Kessler (6-2, 6-0) and Chinese Qinwen Zheng, the No 7 seed (6-4, 6-2).
Kenin, ranked No 73, won against Ashlyn Krueger (6-4, 6-4) and qualifier Alycia Parks (7-6 (3), 3-6, 6-2) in the previous rounds of the Qatar tournament.
