Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova advanced to the quarter-finals of the Rabat Open by winning against Chinese Yafan Wang 7-6 (4), 6-0 at Union Sportive des Cheminots du Maroc on Wednesday.
Tomova, ranked No 84, will face the winner of the match between Colombian Camila Osorio and German Laura Siegemund next.
The Bulgarian beat qualifier Berfu Cengiz (6-2, 6-1) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Rabat tournament, Wang, ranked No 68, defeated No 8 seed Lin Zhu (4-6, 6-0, 6-2).
