Second seed Liudmila Samsonova defeated No 3 seed Ekaterina Alexandrova 6-3, 6-7 (1), 6-1 to move into the final of the’s-Hertogenbosch Open at Autotron Rosmalen on Sunday night.
Samsonova, ranked No 15, will face Canadian wildcard Bianca Andreescu next.
Liudmila Samsonova won against Belgian Alison Van Uytvanck (6-1, 6-3), Swiss wildcard Celine Naef (7-5, 6-2) and Belgian Greet Minnen (6-4, 7-5) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds of the Rosmalen tournament, Alexandrova, ranked No 16, beat Australian Arina Rodionova (6-3, 6-4), American Emina Bektas (7-5, 6-4) and American qualifier Robin Montgomery (6-4, 6-3).
