Saint-Malo Open: Navarro moves into quarter-finals

American Emma Navarro, the No 8 seed, reached the quarter-finals of the Saint-Malo Open by defeating Frenchwoman Amandine Hesse 6-1, 6-0 at the Parc des sports de Marville on Thursday.
Navarro, ranked No 101, will play the winner of the match between Jodie Burrage and Belgian Greet Minnen next.
Ahead of her victory, the 21-year-old American won against Croat Ana Konjuh (7-6 (4), 7-5).
Amandine Hesse beat Italian Lucrezia Stefanini (6-3, 4-6, 6-2) in the previous round of the Saint-Malo tournament.
