San Diego Open: Navarro moves into last four, to meet Boulter next

American Emma Navarro, the No 3 seed, defeated Australian qualifier Daria Saville 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the last four of the San Diego Open at the Barnes Tennis Center on Friday night.
Navarro, ranked No 26, will face Katie Boulter next.
In the previous round of the San Diego tournament, the 22-year-old American won against Katerina Siniakova (6-3, 3-6, 6-1). The 22-year-old American has 15 main-draw wins this year, the third-most on the tour behind world No 4 Elena Rybakina and world No 10 Jelena Ostapenko.
Saville, ranked No 148, beat Chinese Lin Zhu (6-3, 6-3) and German Tatjana Maria (5-7, 7-6 (2), 6-2) in the previous rounds of the San Diego tournament.
