Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the No 4 seed, advanced to the final of the Strasbourg Open by beating Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the No 9 seed, 7-6 (7), 1-6, 6-2 at the Tennis Club de Strasbourg on Friday.

Rybakina, ranked No 12, will face the winner of the match between American Danielle Collins and Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the No 8 seed, next.

Earlier in the tournament, the Kazakh won against Chinese Xinyu Wang (6-1, 6-3) and Pole Magda Linette (7-5, 6-3).

Haddad Maia, ranked No 23, won against Dane Clara Tauson (3-6, 6-4, 7-5), American Ashlyn Krueger (7-6 (3), 6-3) and American Emma Navarro, the second seed (3-6, 7-6 (3), 6-2) in the previous rounds of the Strasbourg tournament.
