Krejcikova ends Haddad Maia run to reach semi-finals in Tallinn

Former French Open champion Barbora Krejcikova ended the run of in-form Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the No 3 seed, 6-3, 6-4 to advance to the semi-finals of the Tallinn Open at the Forus Tennis Centre on Friday.
Seventh seed Krejcikova, ranked No 27, will face Swiss Belinda Bencic, the second seed, next.
In the previous rounds, the Czech won against Australian Ajla Tomljanovic (6-1, 7-6 (3)) and Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk (7-5, 6-3).
Haddad Maia, ranked No 15, edged out Chinese Xinyu Wang (6-3, 1-6, 6-4) and won against Czech qualifier Linda Noskova (6-1, 7-5) earlier in the tournament.
