Hungarian Dalma Galfi, the No 8 seed, won against Australian Jaimee Fourlis 6-4, 6-4 to move into the last 16 of the Tiriac Foundation Trophy on Monday.
Galfi, ranked No 79, will face Italian Sara Errani next.
