WTA Toronto: Anisimova stuns Sabalenka to reach last four

American Amanda Anisimova beat Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the second seed, 6-4, 6-2 to move into the semi-finals of the Toronto Masters at the Aviva Centre.
Anisimova, ranked No 132, will face No 8 seed Emma Navarro next.
Ahead of her victory, the 22-year-old American won against Caroline Dolehide (6-1, 6-4), Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No 5 seed (6-4, 6-3) and Russian Anna Kalinskaya, the No 10 seed (6-2 ret.).
Sabalenka, ranked No 3, won against Chinese Yue Yuan (6-2, 6-2) and Katie Boulter (6-3, 6-3) in the previous rounds of the Rogers Cup.
