WTA Toronto: Kostyuk advances to second round
Marta Kostyuk won against Tatjana Maria 6-0, 6-2 on Tuesday evening. She’ll face the winner of the match between American Shelby Rogers and Ukrainian Elina Svitolina in the next round

Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk, the No 11 seed, defeated German Tatjana Maria 6-0, 6-2 to reach the second round of the WTA National Bank Open in Toronto at the Aviva Centre on Tuesday.
Kostyuk, ranked No 20, will face the winner of the match between American Shelby Rogers and Ukrainian Elina Svitolina next.
