Uzbek Maria Timofeeva, the top seed, moved into the final of the Eupago Porto Open by winning against Slovak Mia Pohankova 6-2, 6-7 (3), 6-3 on Saturday afternoon.
Timofeeva, ranked No 87, will play American qualifier Reese Brantmeier next.
Ahead of her victory, the 22-year-old Uzbek beat Czech Gabriela Knutson, the No 7 seed (6-1, 6-2), Swede Kajsa Rinaldo Persson (6-3, 6-0) and English lucky loser Sofia Johnson (6-4, 6-2).
