Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova won against Egyptian Mayar Sherif 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 to reach the last 16 of the Transylvania Open on Monday.
Tomova, ranked No 63, will face the winner of the match between American Alycia Parks and Serb Olga Danilovic, the second seed, next.
