Second seed Katie Boulter beat French qualifier Elsa Jacquemot 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 to advance to the last 4 of the Trophée Clarins on Friday.
Boulter, ranked No 40, will face the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva, the No 8 seed, and Russian Kamilla Rakhimova next.
Ahead of her victory, Katie Boulter won against Russian Erika Andreeva (6-4, 6-4) and Australian Daria Saville (6-3, 6-0).
Jacquemot, ranked No 140, defeated Chinese Yue Yuan (3-6, 6-3, 6-3) and No 5 seed Sonay Kartal (6-4 ret.) earlier in the tournament.
