Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva, the No 8 seed, beat American Hailey Baptiste 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 to advance to the last eight of the Trophée Clarins on Thursday.
Gracheva, ranked No 65, will play Russian Kamilla Rakhimova next.
The Frenchwoman won against American qualifier Louisa Chirico (6-1, 6-2) in the previous round.
During the 32, Baptiste, ranked No 90, won against Frenchwoman Diane Parry (3-6, 6-2, 6-3).
