Croat Donna Vekic, the No 3 seed, advanced to the last four of the Upper Austria Ladies by defeating Frenchwoman Clara Burel 6-0, 7-6 (3) at the TipsArena in Linz on Friday.
Vekic, ranked No 34, will play the winner of the match between No 5 seed Anastasia Potapova and second seed Ekaterina Alexandrova next.
Ahead of her victory, the Croat won against Ukrainian wildcard Dayana Yastremska (6-1, 6-1).
Burel, ranked No 52, won against Austrian wildcard Sinja Kraus (6-1, 6-4) and edged out Katerina Siniakova (6-3, 5-7, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
