Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, the No 3 seed, reached the semi-finals of the Monastir Open by beating Slovenian Tamara Zidansek 7-5, 7-6 (7) at the Monastir Tennis Club on Friday.
Cornet, ranked No 37, will play the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Diane Parry and Russian Veronika Kudermetova, the second seed, next.
Earlier in the tournament, the Frenchwoman won against Brazilian Laura Pigossi (7-6 (3), 6-0) and Harriet Dart (6-3, 6-4).
Zidansek, ranked No 101, edged out Spanish qualifier Marina Bassols Ribera (5-7, 6-3, 7-5) and defeated Russian Anastasia Potapova, the No 6 seed (6-3, 3-6, 6-2) in the previous rounds.
