WTA Adelaide: Pegula sets up all-American final against Keys
The top seed defeated Kazakh Yulia Putintseva 7-6 (4), 6-3 in the semi-finals

American Jessica Pegula, the top seed, won against Kazakh Yulia Putintseva 7-6 (4), 6-3 to move into the final of the WTA Adelaide International on Friday.
Pegula, ranked No 7, will play fellow American Madison Keys next for the title at the Memorial Drive Tennis Park. She and Keys have met twice before with one win for each player. This is the 15th career singles final on the WTA Tour for Pegula.
Pegula defeated Greek lucky loser Maria Sakkari (6-4, 6-1) and lucky loser Ashlyn Krueger (6-4, 2-0 ret.) earlier in the tournament and has not dropped a set all week.
In the previous rounds, Putintseva, ranked No 25, won against Croat Donna Vekic (6-2, 6-3), Tunisian wildcard Ons Jabeur (6-2, 6-4) and Russian Diana Shnaider, the No 6 seed (7-6 (3), 6-7 (9), 6-4).
