As we edge towards the third Grand Slam of the year, some of the top stars have been having a quieter time of it – but there are still some big movers in this week’s WTA rankings.

Amazing Alexandrova

Now two-time champion in Den Bosch, Ekaterina Alexandrova rises four places to world No 22. She continues her Wimbledon prep by heading to Berlin, where she is unseeded.

Cornet climbs

The Frenchwoman is up 12 places to world No 60 after a run to the semi-finals in Nottingham, where she took out top seed Maria Sakkari in the round of 16.

Brilliant from Brits

She said she wasn’t getting too excited about being the new British No 1 when she was still ranked outside the Top 100 – but Katie Boulter will be celebrating this week as she reaches a new career high of world No 77, up a huge 49 places after winning the title in Nottingham.

There’s a big rise too for Jodie Burrage, her compatriot she beat in the final – up 23 places to world No 108.

Notable movers

Sara Errani – 82 (-13)
Elizabeth Mandlik – 97 (+13)
