Swiss Jil Teichmann defeated Francesca Jones 2-6, 6-4, 6-1 to move into the final of the Zavarovalnica Sava Ljubljana on Saturday.
Teichmann, ranked No 182, will face Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz, the second seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the Swiss won against lucky loser Susan Bandecchi (6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (4)), Russian Polina Kudermetova, the No 8 seed (6-3, 6-0) and Belarusian wildcard Kristina Dmitruk (5-7, 6-4, 7-6 (1)).
Jones, ranked No 177, won against Frenchwoman Chloe Paquet, the top seed (6-2, 6-3), Croat Petra Marcinko (7-5, 6-1) and Andorran Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva (6-3, 6-4) in the previous rounds.
