The Ymer brothers led Sweden to victory over Canada on Day 1 of the Davis Cup Finals in Madrid.
Elias began the day by beating Steven Diez 6-4, 6-2 in one hour and 27 minutes, and Mikael followed that with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Vasek Pospisil that took just two minutes longer.
And Andre Goransson and Robert Lindstedt wrapped it up in the day’s doubles match, beating Pospisil and partner Brayden Schnur 7-6(5), 6-4.
Canada were the 2019 runners-up – but are without Denis Shapovalov, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Milos Raonic this time round.
They next play Kazakhstan on Sunday – a must-win tie if they are to progress.
